Privacy policy

How Sportlog collects, uses, protects, and deletes your information.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the Sportlog mobile application, website, and related services (together, the “Service”). It explains the information we process when you create an account, record workouts, join social features, or contact us.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information

We collect your name, email address, password credential, birthday or age eligibility, optional gender, profile photo, handle, bio, sports, skill level, goals, availability, and area label. Passwords are stored as secure hashes; we cannot read your password.

Workout, game, and social information

We process workout times, sports, duration, proof clips, verification status, XP, missions, pet progress, matches, crews, events, friendships, blocks, chat messages, reels, reactions, and reports you submit.

Location

If you grant permission, we use your device location to suggest nearby partners, crews, activities, and places. You can turn location access off in your device settings. We do not collect background location when you are not using the relevant feature.

Device, support, and transaction information

We process push-notification tokens, session and security information, basic server logs, support messages, and subscription or purchase status. Apple, Google, and our subscription service process payment details; Sportlog does not receive your full card number.

3. How we use information

  • Provide accounts, workout verification, game progress, matching, crews, chat, and other requested features.
  • Personalize recommendations and show relevant nearby results when you enable location.
  • Send transactional, security, social, and reminder notifications you can control in device settings.
  • Prevent fraud, abuse, unsafe content, duplicate rewards, and unauthorized access.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the reliability of the Service.
  • Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect users and the public.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed:

  • With other users: information you make social, such as your profile, reels, crew participation, and messages to room members.
  • With service providers: hosting and storage, authentication, maps and places, push notifications, subscription management, email delivery, and content-safety providers.
  • For safety or legal reasons: when reasonably necessary to prevent harm, investigate abuse, comply with law, or protect legal rights.
  • In a business transfer: if the Service is involved in a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.

5. Visibility and media

Workout proof clips and chat images are restricted to authorized users and moderators. Reels and profile information may be visible to the audience indicated in the feature. Do not upload content you do not have permission to share.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the Service. You can permanently delete your account in Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. This removes your account credentials, profile, activities, proof media, reels, chat content, progress, and social links.

We may retain limited records where required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or law. These records are access-restricted and deleted or de-identified when no longer needed. Deleting Sportlog does not cancel a subscription managed by Apple or Google.

7. Security

We use access controls, encrypted transport, secure credential storage, expiring private-media links, and monitoring intended to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a unique password and protect access to your device.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal information. You can edit available profile fields in the app, revoke device permissions in system settings, and delete your account in the app. Contact us for requests not available through self-service controls.

9. Age eligibility

Sportlog is not directed to children under 13, and account creation requires users to be at least 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it.

10. International processing

Our providers may process information in Hong Kong and other countries. Those locations may have different data-protection laws. We use contractual and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and service.

11. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will change the date above and provide additional notice for material changes where appropriate. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to support@sportslog.app.
